Sandbag Distribution

Sand Distribution for Mercedes Residents
The City of Mercedes Public Works Department will be distributing sand for residents Friday, August 15, 2025, starting at 8:30 AM at the Knights of Columbus Parking Lot (150 N Ohio Ave). Distribution will continue until supplies run out.

Details:

• Sandbags will be provided.

• Please bring your own shovels.

• Limit 3 bags per residence.

• Must present proof of residency (water or electric bill).

• Staff will be available to assist elderly residents and those in need.
